What futsal is

Soccer's small-sided cousin

Five a side, a smaller and heavier ball, and a smooth hard court. Players get more touches per minute than in a full-field game, which is why futsal builds footwork, ball control, passing, shooting and decision-making so quickly.

Best forPlayers 8–11 who want faster feet and better decisions, whether they play rec, travel or nothing yet

Soccer questions

Before you register

What is futsal?

Soccer's small-sided cousin: five a side, a smaller and heavier ball and a hard court. More touches per minute than a full-field game, which is why it builds foot skills so quickly.

Which age group do we pick?

The one that matches your player's age: U8 is for 8-year-olds, U9 for 9-year-olds, and so on. Each group has its own Sunday hour and is capped at 24 players.

What should they bring?

Indoor or flat-soled court shoes (no cleats), shin guards and a water bottle. We supply the balls and goals.

Where do the clinics run?

On the indoor courts inside the Kalsee Dome at 12733 US-131, Schoolcraft, about 20 minutes from Kalamazoo and 15 from Portage.

Is there soccer for younger kids?

Yes. Explore (ages 4–10) rotates soccer in alongside every other sport we coach, Mondays at 6:00 PM or Tuesdays at 5:30 PM, paid per class.

What if we miss a Sunday?

Coaches run a rolling curriculum, so a missed week is easy to pick back up. Extended absences: call us and we will work it out.
