There's nothing quite like volleyball in the sun. Next Level Sports Center is bringing outdoor grass volleyball back this summer with leagues for middle school through adult athletes, and spots are open now. Whether your team is chasing trophies or just looking for a great reason to get outside and compete, this is your league.
Middle School Grass League
The Middle School Grass League is a 6 vs. 6 outdoor format open to any combination of boys and girls with no gender restrictions. Just teams showing up, competing and having a great time.
This league is built around fun, teamwork, and real game experience. Players will build confidence, sharpen their communication on the court, and develop a feel for the game in a positive and supportive environment. It's competitive enough to matter and welcoming enough for everyone to thrive.
High School Grass League
The High School Grass League runs a 4 vs. 4 format, which means more touches, faster play, and a whole lot of teamwork. Mixed teams are welcome, but no more than two boys may be on the court at one time. Teams with all girls are welcome as well.
If you've played 6 vs. 6 indoors all season, the 4 vs. 4 outdoor game will challenge you in a whole new way. It's a fantastic format for developing well-rounded players who can read the court, cover ground, and make quick decisions under pressure.
Adult Grass League
Want to get active this summer in a whole new way, our adult league is the perfect opportunity. Teams will consist of 4 players — 2 women and 2 men. Each match will feature four total sets. Two sets played on a women’s height net with women playing the front row and men playing back row defense. Plus, two sets played on a co-ed height net. Men play front row and attack and women play back row defense.
Season Structure
All leagues run on the same featuring two sessions each with four dates of play, one in June and one in July. That's eight chances to compete across the summer with plenty of time between sessions to regroup and improve.
A couple of dates to keep in mind. There will be no games scheduled on Father's Day or the 4th of July, so plan your summer accordingly.
Why Grass Volleyball?
Outdoor grass volleyball is one of the best ways to stay sharp between indoor seasons. The surface demands more athleticism, the smaller-sided format forces better decision-making, and playing outside brings a different kind of energy that's hard to replicate in a gym. It's fun, it's competitive, and it keeps athletes active and connected to the sport all summer long.
Reach out with any questions. We would love to see your team on the court this summer.
